Taiwan has certainly preserved its former name's spirit- Formosa, meaning “Beautiful Island” in Portuguese. The island possesses a stunning coastline that has a lot to offer to the water sport scene. However, Taiwan 's marine tourism is developing relatively slowly despite its topographical advantage.

Beach activities are not traditionally enjoyed by Taiwanese people as, in the old days, it was not encouraged to play around the ocean. It is therefore risky to start a water sport business without deep understanding of local customs and attitudes towards the sea.

However, due to this lack of interest in developing a coastline tourism industry, Taiwan's beaches have conserved their tranquility as well as the pure cultures of fishing villages and daily local life

Transportation


“True Wave Tour " has chosen the best-fit vehicle VW T4 for our geared up customers. Our VW T4 is well equipped with roof racks and safety strips that can carry over-sized long boards and all the other bulky equipment.

Our driver is a sophisticated tour guide as well as an experienced SUP surfer. He can help you with any questions regarding surf spots and local knowledge or translation hassles along your journey.

We also offer ordinary airport pickup apart from our tour transportation service.

It is only 45 minutes between Taoyuan International Airport and SPOT club. It is best for those who BYO equipment.  

Equipment

Tour travelers can decide whether to bring you own or rent from SPOT.

BYO travelers are suggested to consult your airline’s logistics before your departure date.

There will be a minor sub-charge from SPOT for the transportation fee and storage fee for the BYO travelers.

Please inform us when you book your tour if you wish to rent gear from us so we can reserve appropriate equipment for you.
